Kirtan Mela Invitation Letter

Create a wave of auspiciousness – join the Kirtan Mela 2012 in Germany from September 2nd to September 8th.

It is with great pleasure that we invite all kirtan lovers to the second European Kirtan Mela. From September 2nd to September 8th 2012, we will sing the mahamantra for 12 hours daily, as we did last year. This time however, for almost 7 days – that’s 3 more days than before.
At he end of the Mela we will again take the kirtan out into the streets of Leipzig, where we will have a magnificent Ratha Yatra.

As many of you know, kirtan is the most efficient spiritual process to invoke strong spiritual blessings. It expresses that which ordinarily cannot be expressed so easily – with the least possibility of misunderstanding. Soul to soul and soul to God communication!
It was even observed by the many newspapers and TV people who documented the Kirtan Mela in the media. “By being in contact with the Holy Name, one experiences a positive spiritual transformation” – quoted in the otherwise quite aggressive Bild newspaper. “Singing the mahamantra establishes the connection with our Origin” – (Stadtspiegel Limbach). And “By the chanting of Hare Krishna with so many people, a wave of blessing is created which spreads all over the world to benefit people”– (Freie Presse).

The Kirtan Mela created such a strong impression that one devotee from Sweden expressed concisely the general mood: “To sing together with that many devotees was a once in a lifetime experience. Every Saturday evening we now have kirtan somewhere in Sweden, and sing the tunes from the Kirtan Mela. This is indeed Kirtan Mela part 2 – and it works wonders! I now stay rather without prasadam (meal) than a single day without kirtan. This for me is the experience of Kirtan Mela in a nut shell.”

We, from our organization team, feel humbled by the positive reactions. Imagine each day around 7.000 online-visitors were registered on our web page with the live streaming. If every mouse-click meant a village was watching like in India – then that was a lot for the start.

By quoting the media and the devotees who attended I wanted to let the Kirtan Mela speak for itself and to wholeheartedly invite you for the next one in the beginning of September 2012.

We have the chance to create a unique spiritual force – a wave of blessings centred on the Yuga Dharma. It will benefit us and large parts of the world. We will invite a unique and deeply Krishna conscious experience into our hearts – and then become empowered to share it with many. Nama- rasa will increase nama-seva (genuine taste in the holy names will increase our service to the Holy Name).

For 2012, we reserved larger facilities to accommodate the many more guests we expect. Kindly help us to expand the chanting of the Holy Name more and more by attending and inviting your friends to join you.

As of now almost all of the kirtaniyas from last year (and many more) have expressed their interest to come again. Kindly visit www.kirtana-mela.com regularly to be informed of the latest news as this magnificent event manifests. Register online at kirtana-mela.com, as soon as possible.

Wishing you all the best and lots of spiritual strength!

Your humble servant
